As a re-covering project for a completed series, the goal was to create a strong theme which would satisfy new fans and collectors alike.
Concepts
The critical parameter that had to be kept in mind for this project was the need for any concept to transfer smoothly across twelve titles.
Draft Thumbnails
Once we had a concept, the proper symbols had to be chosen for each book, and then I had to test whether they would render well.
Developing Character Silhouettes
Each book has its own heroine with her own personality, and she had to be brought to life in silhouette form.
Publisher Rebrand
As a corollary to this project, the author was in need of an updated logo for her publishing LLC for spines and title pages.
Extensions
Once the covers were complete I adapted them to the German market and to audiobook size ratios as well.
