
Everett Summer Fest is an annual one-day fair held at Naval Station Everett. In previous years attempts to brand the event were minimal, typically consisting of a poster and social media graphic with the date and time overlayed on some sort of tropical backdrop. In 2023 I pitched an upgrade, focusing on a strong motion component; this was the result.
The still promotional graphics required included posters, banners, graphics for Naval Station Everett’s website, and social media posts. We also needed related but individual graphics to promote some of the activities at the event.
The motion graphics were the core of the event promotion.
I made many forms of the motion graphics; not only these long looping videos in horizontal and vertical formats, but also shortened and even square versions to append to specific posts and target inconsistent social media algorithms.
They were displayed not only on social media, but all over Naval Station Everett on digital ad displays.
At its core, Summer Fest is aimed at the Navy community. The ultimate success of the event came not only from broad awareness, but from the right awareness.
